Participation is open to developmentally disabled adults in the Ottawa area. Many of our participants are referred by local agencies, as well as families, friends and self-referrals.

H’Art of Ottawa looks for individuals who are able to participate, and do so in an enthusiastic and behaviourally appropriate manner. Participants must be independent when eating snacks and lunches, using the bathroom facilities and taking medications. Arriving and leaving the studio independently is also a requisite.

To enrol in the program, an individual and family member or guardian participates in an intake interview with our art director.

If all parties are in agreement that the participant will benefit from the program, the participant attends a trial session.

At the present time, program enrollment is full and the individual will be added to our waiting list.
